Southport First Friday Gallery Walk
Discover new art on the first Friday of each month in the town of Southport, NC. On the first Friday of each month, artists in the coastal NC area are featured in a gallery walk. The event is organized by the Franklin Square Gallery, a cooperative of artists and art patrons. The November First Friday features the opening of the holiday shop. The November First Friday is Friday, November 1 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Wine and appetizers are served at Franklin Square Gallery as well as the other galleries participating in the event including: Art @ 211 The Ricky Evans Gallery, Lantana’s Gallery, Anastasio’s Glass Studio, Cattail Cottage, Darrel Edwards Gallery, Howe Outrageous Art Gallery, and Southport’s Silver Coast Winery & Gallery. The public is invited to browse and shop. Admission is free to all the galleries and all are welcome.

The FSG organizes a variety of art events from art shows to lectures. In addition to First Friday Gallery Walks, there are art history lectures (some require tickets), art workshops (some require fees), and themed art shows throughout the year.
On December 6, the FSG silent auction will be held. It is a great way to support the arts. December 11 at 5:30 PM, FSG will hold an art history lecture: New Art Comes to America – ‘Ash Can School’ and the Armorty Show. This lecture requires advanced ticketing. Tickets are $10.
