The Ocean Isle Beach community in North Carolina is made up of two distinct areas, the mainland and the island. While both offer a wide range of new and resale single-family homes, the main difference is in the style of homes. On the mainland, homes are largely one level homes on slabs or crawl spaces. On the island, we see the classic stilt style homes both on the ocean and canals that line the streets of Ocean Isle Beach.

The luxury beachhouse market in the Ocean Isle Beach community features custom beach homes starting in the mid 400s and going well over 2 million. They range from 1200SF to 7000SF or more.

The homes on the mainland of Ocean Isle Beach, NC tend to be clustered in various plantations with some being in small neighborhoods that dot the ICW (intracoastal waterway) and up to the bridge that separates the mainland from the island. Some of the more popular neighborhoods on the mainland are also well known golf course communities such as Ocean Ridge Plantation and Brick Landing Plantation. Other communities such as The Retreat, Sunset Ridge, Bent Tree Plantation, and Chatham Glenn offer a wide range of home styles and offer various nature and water views, but are not directly on golf courses.
